Artist Notes:
"This painting is about the 'haves and have-nots' in 1930s America. The Great Depression was still going strong in 1936, yet there were still people who could afford luxury cars like this while the foundation of the country was built on the labor of the working force. The text is from speeches by President Roosevelt to the country in '36."
