"This is one of my most favorite pieces … to my eye the McLaren just begs to be drawn and painted because it is uncommonly beautiful. The view is into the shadow side of the car so the reflections had to be tickled, made to sparkle. The layers of blues and blacks and the light glancing off the windscreen add to the incredible dynamics of the sleek machine composition."
