The Rivals
1928 Austin Seven 'Chummy.' This diminutive car was built in England during the 1920s and 30s.
Artist Notes:
"The ‘Jazz Age’ witnessed the emergence of a new breed of independent young women: ’The Flappers.' These fun-loving ladies could, at last, afford to buy their own cars. Here we see a young lady at the beach, on a beautiful day, with the three things she loves in the world: her boyfriend, her dog and her Austin Chummy ... but which one does she love the most?"
