Artist Notes:
"Sometimes I like to paint the 'unsung heroes' of automotive history which are not expensive and exotic but nevertheless become stars in the minds of many because they bring back so many fond memories. The cute appearance of the 'Bugeye' (or 'Frogeye' in UK - hence the license plate) seems to outwardly suggest that you can have nothing but fun driving this car. I sometimes refer to this painting as my 'Thelma and Louise' as I did try to capture some of the atmosphere of the more light-hearted scenes in that Road Movie."
